Birmingham Public Library Features Nationally Known
Singer-Songwriter-Storyteller
Birmingham Public Library presents nationally known singer, songwriter, and fabulously funny storyteller, Andy Offutt Irwin June 11 -14 at the Central Library and various branch libraries. Andy Irwin, a featured teller at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee, interweaves his stories and songs creating a hilarious mixture of old women and young children as his characters unfold and share a world you will certainly recognize and definitely appreciate. He is the host of *Evening Star, *a monthly concert series, on the Georgia Public Radio and is the Artist-In-Residence at Oxford College of Emory University. "Andy Offutt Irwin is to music what Robin Williams is to stand-up comedy," says Gregory Nicoll, of /Creative Loafing/. The programs are age appropriate for children and adults.
