Genealogical Treasures Workshop
BIRMINGHAM, AL -- The Birmingham Public
Library will conduct a genealogical workshop on Saturday, June 8, 2002, from
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Richard Arrington Auditorium of the
Linn-Henley Research Library.
The
workshop will be presented by the staff of the Tutwiler Collection of
Southern History and Literature and will focus on such topics as using the
Internet for research, using periodicals to find information on that “lost”
ancestor, contemporary genealogical research and what can be found in public
records.
The Genealogical Treasures Workshop is open
to the public for a cost of $15 per person, including a boxed lunch or $10
per person without a lunch. Pre-registration is required and payment must be

The Birmingham Public Library and its 20 branch locations provide the
