Five Points West Regional Library hosting Black History Research program tonight, Feb. 6
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—If you are a student preparing to do a research history paper for Black History Month, the Five Points West Regional Library is hosting a free workshop designed to help you.
The program, “Black History Research: How to Find Information Needed to Prepare Black History Month Assignments,” will take place at 6 p.m. tonight, Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at Five Points West Library, 4812 Avenue W. For more information, call 205-226-4013.
Five Points West Library is also hosting an African Americans in Education Trivia Tour through Feb. 24. Patrons are invited to celebrate Black History Month with Five Points West Library by testing their knowledge on black educators, local black schools, and historical black colleges and universities in Alabama. A special drawing announcing the winner will be held on Friday, Feb. 24.
