Powderly Library hosting Black History Month concert featuring Wenonah High School Choir at 5 p.m. today, Feb. 21 

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama-The Powderly Branch Library, 3301 Jefferson Ave. SW, is hosting a free concert today featuring the Wenonah High School Choir. The concert, “Celebrating African-American History Through Music,” is part of the Birmingham Public Library’s observance of Black History Month.
Prior to today’s  concert, Powderly Library also invites youth in grades 2-5 needing to learn penmanship to attend its free cursive writing class from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and adults desiring to learn how to line dance to join its free Adult Line Dance class today, Feb. 21, at noon and again at noon on Thursday, Feb. 23. The line dance classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday at the library. No experience is necessary.  For more information, call (205) 925-6178.
