Join Springville Road Library March 7 for Pet Supplies Plus Presents: Butch The Dog
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-If you love animal tricks, make your way to the Springville Road Regional Library, 1224 Old Springville Road on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 4 p.m. for an exciting program, "Pet Supplies Plus Presents: Butch The Dog." Butch is a former therapy dog whose owner operates the Pet Supplies Plus store in Roebuck, a longtime supporter of Springville Road Library.
Pet Supplies Plus received a Jefferson County Library Champion Award from the Birmingham Public Library last fall as appreciation for donating thousands of dollars of pet supplies to Springville Road Library and other local libraries. Butch the Dog and Aaron Oseas, a manager from Pet Supplies Plus, will visit the library to teach kids about the right way and wrong way to meet a new dog. He will also perform some amazing tricks, said Mollie McFarland, children’s librarian at Springville Road Library.
The program is a part of Springville Road’s “Grubdown” session held every Tuesday at 4 p.m. in which library patrons can meet the library pets, and watch library staff feed, pet, and play with its animal friends. Animal lovers are also invited to join Springville Road Library this Saturday, March 11 at 10 a.m. for its Creature Feature: Bearded Dragon" program.
