2017 Easter Weekend holiday closing set for the Birmingham Public Library

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama-All 19 Birmingham Public Library (BPL) locations will be closed for the 2017 Easter holiday weekend from Good Friday, April 14, through Sunday, April 16. BPL will reopen during normal business hours on Monday, April 17.
Patrons are invited to celebrate Easter Week at BPL with these free activities. Read more about BPL events not on this list at www.bplonline.org:

Creature Feature & Easter Egg Hunt, 10:30 am, Smithfield Branch Library, #1 8th Ave. West
Join us for another Creature Feature! Whitney Garner will be bringing Popper the guinea pig from the Springville Road Library for a visit. Immediately after, we will have our annual Easter Egg hunt. Bring a basket and be ready for some fun!

Tot Time with Mrs. Eve: Hippity Hop, 11 a.m., Avondale Regional Library, 509 40th St. South
What has two floppy ears, a pink twitchy nose, and a powder puff for a tail? Hop on over and find out during this fun filled Tot Time! Tot Time is geared for 2 to 4 year olds with an individual caregiver. No groups please. 24-hour advance registration required. Register online, e-mail avyouth@bham.lib.al.us, or call 205-226-4003
