West End Library hosting smart couponing workshops, fair housing tenants rights seminar
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— If you haven't joined the couponing craze but want to learn more about how to save money while shopping, make plans to take advantage of a series of free workshops kicking off Tuesday, May 2 at the West End Branch Library, 1348 Tuscaloosa Ave. SW.
Smart ShoppingWith Coupons will take place every Tuesday from May 2 through May 23 at 10 a.m., said West End Library Branch Manager Maya Jones. The goal of the workshops is to teach participants the basics of saving money using coupons. The classes will be taught by someone sharing couponing knowledge for beginners, as well as patrons interested in learning more about the topic.

 Also this Saturday, May 6 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., West End Library will host “Fair Housing/Landlord-Tenants Rights Seminar.” The free workshop will be presented by the Jefferson County Housing Authority and Legal Services of Alabama. Lunch will be provided. Seating is limited so register in advance by calling Sheretta Williams and Beverly Gaither of the Jefferson County Housing Authority at 205-244-1344 and 205-244-1335 respectively; or Barbara Luckett of the Legal Services of Alabama Birmingham office at 205-328-3540.
