BIRMINGHAM, Alabama— The BPL Teens Engineer Birmingham, a program of the Birmingham Public Library (BPL) in partnership with the UAB School of Engineering , is offering a free weeklong engineering camp at the Central Library downtown from Monday through Friday, June 5-9, 2017.
The 2nd Annual Teens Engineer BHM Robotics Camp is open to students in grades 6 through 12 across metro Birmingham. The camp will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The camp activities are free but participants must bring a lunch Monday through Thursday. A pizza lunch will be provided on Friday, June 9, the final day of the camp.
Space is limited so students interested need to register in advance by calling Lance Simpson, department head of the BPL Learning Center, or emailing him at
lmsimpson@bham.lib.al.us.
The Teens Engineer BHM Robotics Camp is made possible by a $50,000 grant from the UAB Benevolent Fund.
