Bards & Brews Open Mic Poetry Event to be held at  Central Library on Nov. 2

What: Bards & Brews Open Mic poetry event
When: Friday, Nov. 2, 7-9 p.m.
Where: The Central Library East Grand Reading Room, 2100 Park Place, Birmingham, Ala.
Details: Free to the public aged 18 and up, but you must be 21 or older to get beer samples.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Bards & Brews, the Birmingham Public Library's popular monthly spoken-word poetry-craft beer program, is hosting its last event of the year this Friday, Nov. 2, at the Central Library East Grand Reading Room downtown.

Both seasoned spoken word artists and novice poets are invited to participate in this Open Mic poetry event. Voice Porter will again serve as host and emcee. The event is free to the public aged 18 and up; you must be at least 21 to take drink beer samples.
