All 18 BPL locations Now Offering In-person and Curbside Service Hours

Birmingham, Ala. – Good news book lovers: All 18 locations of the Birmingham Public Library are now offering in-person services and curbside hours during weekdays.

Also, the Central Library is now offering Saturday in-person services.

The following COVID-19 safety protocols have been implemented to protect BPL staff and patrons at each BPL location:

· All patrons entering library locations will be required to wear masks.
· Hand-sanitizing stations are set up throughout each library for patron’s use.
· In compliance with city curfew laws, children under age 17 must be accompanied by parents or legal guardian while inside BPL locations during school hours, and children age 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the library.

In-person library and curbside service days and hours are as follows:

Central Library

In-person service hours: Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Curbside Pickup: Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. -4 p.m.

Avondale, Five Points, Springville Road Regional Libraries

In-person service hours: Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Curbside pickup: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

East Ensley, Ensley, Inglenook, North Avondale, Powderly, West End, Woodlawn

In-person service hours: Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Curbside pickup: Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

East Lake, North Birmingham, Pratt City, Smithfield, Southside, Titusville, Wylam

In-person service hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Curbside pickup: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

BPL reminds patrons that even when its buildings are closed, the public can access library services online 24/7.
