The Birmingham Public Library to host Tech Tuesdays again this fall
August 21, 2008, Birmingham, AL – Did you know that your Birmingham Public Library card gives you access to a complete reference library at all times of the day, every day of the year?
The databases at the Birmingham Public Library cover almost every conceivable subject for students and parents. It’s all free and always available.
The Fall 2008 lineup of Tech Tuesdays covers the bulk of these databases, in one-hour programs held every other Tuesday.
Searching for credible content on the Internet is difficult for even the seasoned information professional. The staff at the Birmingham Public Library has teamed together to create a series of programs that will show you how to use these databases and what each database covers.
The Birmingham Public Library’s databases have information on health, business, science, genealogy, exam preparation, history, Birmingham News articles, art, music, languages, maps, fiction, and so much more.
These programs are available at the Central Library’s Arrington Auditorium, Five Points West, and Springville Road Library. Programs will be simulcast at two locations. Please check for availability.
