H&R Block and Birmingham HealthCare to Host Free Sessions on the Affordable Care Act at North Birmingham Public Library on January 5, 2015
Birmingham, Ala. (Jan. 2, 2015) – Free sessions on how to sign up for the Affordable Care Act, how the act will impact personal taxes and more will be offered on Monday, Jan. 5  at North Birmingham Public Library, 2501 31st Ave. North. 

Two groups will lead separate sessions on Jan. 5 : 

Birmingham HealthCare, a nonprofit health organization, will lead Affordable Care Act enrollment sessions on Monday, Jan. 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. The enrollment deadline for the Affordable Care Act is Feb. 15, 2015. 

H&R Block will answer questions on how the Affordable Care Act will impact a person’s taxes, what exemptions are available, what tax credits or tax penalties are possible, etc. on Monday, Jan. 5 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and again from 5 to 6 p.m. To RSVP for the Jan. 5 H&R Block sessions at North Birmingham Library, call 821-3166 or email On Thursday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., all H&R Block locations will host one-on-one sessions to answer people's Affordable Care Act tax questions.
