Birmingham Public Library System to Spend Thursday, October 15, in Staff Training
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama—All 19 locations of the Birmingham Public Library system will be closed this Thursday, October 15, 2015, as staff participate in a training event. The Staff Day observance has been held annually since at least 1990.
“Staff Day is about us coming together as a staff, getting to know each other, having fun as a work family, and learning how to take care of our patrons even better,” said Jennifer Neely, a longtime member of the Birmingham Public Library Staff Day Committee.
All 19 libraries in the Birmingham Public Library System will reopen during normal business hours this Friday, October 16.
