Theatre UAB Anti-Bullying Program to Be Held at Wylam Branch Library November 13
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama—Theatre UAB is presenting Kids on the Block: Dealing with Bullies
, on Friday, November 13 at Wylam Branch Library, 4300 7th Ave. Wylam in Birmingham.
The program deals with bullies, raising questions and offering solutions about this age-old problem. Among the issues to be explored: How should you respond when you're being bullied? How can you make bullying stop?
These questions and more will be addressed in this insightful and challenging program. The program is presented by Theatre UAB and made possible by a Hillcrest Foundation grant.
The Wylam Branch program is the start of a Theatre UAB Troup tour of various Birmingham Public Library (BPL) locations. The UAB Department of Theatre has been sending student actors out to entertain people all over Alabama since the mid-1980s. Learn more about Theatre UAB at https://www.uab.edu/cas/theatre/tour-groups
Besides the performance at Wylam Branch, Theatre UAB will also present the anti-bullying program at these BPL locations: Five Points West Regional Branch Library on February 19, 2016; Inglenook Branch Library on March 11, 2016; Ensley Branch Library on March 18, 2016; North Birmingham Regional Branch Library on April 1, 2016; Titusville Branch Library on April 8, 2016; and Powderly Branch Library on April 22, 2016.

Alice in Wonderland
Goldsmith's compact version of the Lewis Carrol masterpiece has been delighting audiences for years at Columbus Children's Theatre, Ohio, where he serves as artistic director and playwright. Alice's plummet down the rabbit hole introduces her to a host of outlandish characters, ingeniously played by four actors.
