Birmingham Public Library Announces Closing Dates for Christmas, New Year's Day Holidays
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama—The Birmingham Public Library (BPL) System has announced its closing dates for the 2015 Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. BPL’s 19 locations will be closed for the Christmas holiday from Thursday, December 24, through Saturday, December 26.
The Central Library and the following BPL regional libraries will reopen during regular business hours on Sunday, December 27: Avondale, Five Points West, North Birmingham, and Springville Road. All 19 BPL locations will reopen during regular business hours on Monday, December 28.
All Birmingham Public Libraries will be closed New Year’s Day on Friday, January 1, 2016. The BPL locations with weekend hours will reopen with their regular operating hours on Saturday, January 2, and Sunday, January 3, 2016. Call your local library if you have schedule questions.
