West End Library hosting Learn to Play Chess classes Sept. 22, Sept. 29

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama-If you are a child with a desire to learn how to play chess, the West End Branch Library is hosting free classes during the month of September. "Learn to Play Chess" is being offered this Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, and on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. both days.  West End Library is located at 1348 Tuscaloosa Ave. SW, Birmingham, AL 35211. The classes are free and open to the public. 

Chess teaches a higher level of thinking skills such as the ability to visualize, analyze, and think critically. Bring a friend and make a new friend and have fun learning the game of chess. For more information, call (205) 226-4089.
