Read It Forward 2010 -- The Big Read : Alabama Reads

with Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer

The Read It Forward concept is based on the book Pay it Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde, which is a story about an eighth grader who decides to change the world by doing a good deed for someone and then asks that person to "pay it forward" by doing the same for others.

Comments: I hadn't read this since 9th grade, and I had forgotten just how quaint the language can be. Luckily, the book is full of humor and life, so you don't get bogged down by the way the characters turn a phrase.
