Funding Resources

As a Cooperating Collection of the
Foundation Center
in New York, the Birmingham Public Library is a part of a network of
more than 200 libraries, community foundations, and non-profit resource
centers that provides a core collection of Center
publications for public reference. The Cooperating Collection is located in
the Government Documents Department and includes the directories and other
publications to assist individuals in locating sources of funding and
information about private and community grant-making foundations in the
United States.
The Foundation Center
maintains an easy-to-use web site that provides a gateway to a wide range of
philanthropic information resources.
Catalog of Federal
Domestic Assistance is a "compendium of
federal programs, projects, services, and activities which provide
assistance or benefits to the American public" and is available in
print format in the Government Documents Department.
