Watercolor painting of Frances W. Shober from North Carolina clothed in a long white and blue dress and holding a spray lilly of the valley. Painted for A Calendar of Southern Beauties, published by Frederick Stokes Co. in 1894 and sold at the Atlanta Exposition. Painting was also used to illustrate the poetry of Samuel Minturn Peck in his book Fair Women of To-day.
