Located in Hoover, the Aldridge Botanical Gardens is home to 175 hydrangea species and cultivars. The public garden offers seminars for adults and field trips for school children.
Covering over 67 acres, the BBG hosts field trips for schools, summer programs for children, and lectures and workshops for adults. The Gardens offers a conservatory, Japanese garden complete with tea house, fern glade, and separate gardens devoted to iris, rhododendron, camellias, roses, wildflowers, vegetables, and more.
The Hanna Center is housed at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and focuses on the following program areas: horticulture, urban forestry and wildlife, and plant problem diagnosis.
