The Weblog Awards celebrate the best in blogging on a variety of topics such as best food blog, best African blog, best political blog, best music blog, etc. The Bloggies (as they are affectionately called) are the longest running blog awards and are awarded at an annual, non-profit ceremony.
The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996 during the Web's infancy, the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 550-member body of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities. There are three award categories for blogs: Blog-Business, Blog-Culture/Personal, and Blog-Political.
